The Heart Behind IEN
Discover the story of someone striving to make education more inclusive, one classroom at a time
At Inclusive Education Nepal, we believe that education is not just about access, it is about justice. Every child matters, not because of who they are, but because they are. When every learner is seen, heard, and valued, we do more than include: we transform.
This vision comes from a conviction that justice doesn’t begin in courts. It begins in classrooms where every child belongs. If a child feels unseen or left behind, that is not merely an educational issue — it is a moral one. Through the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and our evolving idea of Universal Design for Justice (UDJ), we are reimagining classrooms as spaces of dignity, participation, and agency: the same foundations that make societies just and peaceful. We call this approach Transformative Inclusive Education because inclusion, when rooted in empathy and equity, transforms not only systems but lives.
Our mission is to work with schools, teachers, policymakers, and communities to create learning environments where difference is celebrated and every child can thrive. This is not a dream, it is a duty. Together, let us make inclusion not just a policy, but a practice of love and justice — building a Nepal where education heals, empowers, and unites.
