Early Childhood Inclusive Education
We believe that inclusion starts early. This program focuses on early childhood development by ensuring that children with disabilities and developmental delays receive appropriate support and learning opportunities from a young age.

Program Details
The earliest years of life shape who we become — how we learn, relate, and imagine the world. At Inclusive Education Nepal, we believe that inclusion must begin from the very start — in early childhood classrooms, care centers, and homes where children first experience belonging.
Early childhood inclusion is not only about access to preschool; it is about nurturing environments where every child — with or without disabilities, from any background — is valued, protected, and supported to thrive.
Our Approach
Our work in Early Childhood Inclusive Education is rooted in the principles of Transformative Inclusive Education (TIE) — connecting early learning with empathy, justice, and wellbeing. We focus on the whole child: cognitive, emotional, social, and moral development — ensuring that learning happens in safe, inclusive, and joyful ways.
What We Do
- Inclusive Early Learning Programs
- We work with preschools and community centers to design inclusive early childhood environments guided by Universal Design for Learning (UDL) ensuring all children can see, hear, move, play, and learn together.
- Teacher Training and Family Support
- We train early childhood educators and caregivers in inclusive pedagogy, positive parenting, and developmentally appropriate practices so they can support diverse learners with care and confidence.
- Screening and Early Intervention
- We help schools and families identify developmental and learning needs early, connecting children to the right supports and services before challenges become barriers.
- Inclusive Curriculum and Play-Based Learning
- We promote play, storytelling, and sensory learning as pathways to inclusion — creating classrooms where every activity builds connection, creativity, and confidence.
- Community Awareness and Advocacy
- We engage parents, local governments, and community networks to raise awareness about the right of every child to inclusive early education.
Why It Matters
Early childhood is where inclusion begins — or exclusion takes root. By making early education inclusive, we prevent lifelong barriers and promote lifelong learning.
Our approach connects the principles of UDL and UDJ so that:
- Representation becomes Dignity: every child’s identity is honored from the start.
- Engagement becomes Participation: children learn through joy, curiosity, and collaboration.
- Expression becomes Agency: even the youngest learners are encouraged to communicate, explore, and make choices.
Our Vision
Through Early Childhood Inclusive Education, we aim to create the next generation of inclusive schools and inclusive societies — where belonging is learned before bias, and empathy grows alongside literacy. Because the journey toward an inclusive nation begins not in adulthood, but in the laughter, curiosity, and dreams of every young child.
